This notice covers the Zimba Capital Research website and The Zimba Briefing email. It is short because we collect very little.
If you subscribe, we hold your email address and use it to send you the briefing. We do not sell, rent or share it. You can unsubscribe from any email, and we will delete your address on request.
Zimba Capital Research is the research and insights division of Zimba Capital, which is the data controller for the purposes of this notice. You can reach us through the contact form.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, financial information, identity documents or any special category personal data. Please do not send them to us.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not pass it to the wider Zimba Capital business for sales or marketing purposes.
We use only what is necessary for the site to work, plus privacy-respecting aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or third-party marketing pixels. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any part of this site.
Subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and are then removed. Contact form messages are kept for up to twenty-four months so we can maintain continuity of correspondence. Aggregate analytics data is retained in non-identifying form.
We share personal data only with the service providers who make the publication work, principally our email delivery provider and our website host. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data with anyone, in any circumstances.
We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so.
Some of our service providers operate outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it provided in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form. There is no charge and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If we change this notice materially, we will say so in the briefing rather than quietly updating the page. The date at the top indicates the current version.
Any question about privacy can go through the contact form.
